but if there was always going to be a big fucking problem why did they award the Olympics to China in the first place??

They have the Olympics now and I refuse to take part in the pissing against the wind exercise created by idiots like Richard Gere

Chinese are here to stay, you can trying avoid them by "sticking your head in the sand" but the exercise is pretty meaningless and if it wasn't for them funding US deficit and US over spending on credit and Chinese indirectly funding the US war Middle East etc the American dollar would be totally fucking broke

Getting back on topic, I love sports, so there's no way I'm going to miss Michael Phelps swim or miss Bolt, Powell, and Gay going head-to-head-to-head.

There's a lot to get excited about here, and none of it is in any way related with China's human rights track record. No offense, but I think you're not really planning on boycotting the Olympics so much as you probably never watch the Olympics--not that there's anything wrong with that.
