Crucified Santa

So yesterday my coworked was telling me the "shocking" story of how when he first came to Japan back in the day he saw a department store display with a crucified Santa. We've all heard the story from someone before and know it's generally BS. But was there ever actually a documented case of this happening (and I'm not talking about a purposefully ironic card or t-shirt).



Speaking of Santa executions, has anyone been to the Coredo Nihonbashi building the last week or so. They have this creepy display of Shichifukujin Santa's hanging from the ceiling along with a Roppongi girl Mrs. Claus (you know the type: too much make up, straight black hair). It looks they were strung up by a lynch mob.

Well actually, crucifying Santa is a lost art of Santacon. Generally accompanied by actually burning the bastard as well. So-- I wouldn't be surprised in any way about heraing or seeing this.
