Police in Nigeria are holding a goat handed to them by a vigilante group, which said it was a car thief who had used witchcraft to change shape.

A police spokesman in Kwara State has been quoted as saying that the "armed robbery suspect" would remain in custody until investigations were over.

But another police spokesman told the BBC the goat was being held in case its owner claimed it. [Greji? Bueller? Bueller?]

The belief in witchcraft and the power to change shapes is common in Nigeria.

Bend-made goat cheese ranked second-best in nation

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- A cheese made in Bend, Oregon has been named the second-best cheese in the nation at the U.S. Championship Cheese Contest in Green Bay.
The cheese, named "Classico," is made by Team TFI One, which is a group of workers at Tumalo Farms in Bend. Classico is a hard goat's milk cheese.
Judges named SarVecchio parmesan from Sartori Food Corp. in Wisconsin the first-place winner. It was made by John Griffiths in Antigo, Wis., and was one of 1,360 entries.
Third place was a medium cheddar from McCadam Cheese in Chateaugay, N.Y. That cheese was made by Pat Whalen.
