What happened to this guy? He used to be all over the place and now he's reduced to a childrens show on NHK and bad Century 21 ads.

He seems to be a bit too serious to be a tarento. You kind of have to let yourself go and make a fool of yourself.
His [Brendan Behan's] last words were to several nuns standing over his bed, "God bless you, may your sons all be bishops."

I think as "gaijin tarento" he is too Asian to be gaijin, and too gaijin to be a pure white chrysanthemum.
