Fitness club in Nagano

Postby hanasims » Fri Feb 12, 2010 12:06 pm

I am new to Nagano city and I am looking for a decent fitness club. I can read Japanese and have been search ing on the net, but I was wondering if anyone knows any good clubs?

Thanks.

Best thing you can do is look at some of the lists available online (here's one and another) and then go around and visit them. Check the websites first to make sure they are still around -- Konami in Nagano seems to have closed, for example. This one looks like it may have some potential, but it really depends on what sort of workout you want to do...
And you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Not as unattractive as it might seem -- visit your local ward office or city hall (where you registered for your Alien Registration Card) and see if you can get a list of the local public gyms in your area (both work and home).

Some - not all- of the public facilities can be amazingly attractive and have very reasonable usage rates (almost always discounted for local residents or employees in the area) without membership deposits or annual contracts.

In my sample size of 3 the public facilities have ranged from adequate to abysmal. But for 100-200 yen a go who can complain.
