"WWG" in Roppongi

Postby Kaiju » Wed Apr 21, 2010 7:08 am

Walking While Gaijin (and also tattooed)
[floatl]Image[/floatl]I either looked really shifty or it may have been the fact I had my full tattoo showing, but the female officer was so polite and nice and I my bag was searched and I was also searched before I was able to get on my way to Roppongi Hills.

"the female officer was so polite and nice" .....He should have asked her for a cavity search.

He
certainly got his money's worth---Great traditional Yak tat!
Too bad as a tourist he couldn't get Hori-Hiro Tattoo's "hand-carved traditional Japanese tattoo."

That is great J-styled ink. I would imagine they couldn't believe he was a tourist. But I'm sure that finding out he was, started the "may I search your bag" and the frisk process This is because tourists will usually comply where resident fgs will tell them to piss up a rope....

Thought it was one of the FG myths never having been stopped in some 8 years in Japan.....until last week.

In Narita, standing in the Sing Airlines queu (not quite open yet), 4 large travel bags in front of me, holding my 19th month old son (wife in the bathroom). Two of the little worms (one with a little clipboard) were busy scanning the airport, saw me standing by myself and came straight for me.

"Can I see your passport"
"No"
"What are you doing here"
"I'm U.S. military and I'm not answering any other questions".
"Thank you"

....and they sauntered off.....not stopping any of the 300 Japanese between me (at "I") and the end of terminal 1.

Then my wife (when I told her what happened) proceeded to give me a hard time for giving them a hard time when they were likely just following the orders of an asshole supervisor.

....but it made me smile :)
