The way I see it, many gaijin(especially guys) become quite cocky after some time in Japan. Every guy(except the likeable ones), will often brag about how much of a superstar they were like. Most of them were probably just stared at once in a while, and maybe a drunk girl at a karaoke called him "kakko ii" once or twice, but most of them really just need a reality-check.

This is something we "all" know. However, I remember a certain incident where a J-girl also were totally lost. I will admit that she was pretty, but her perception of Sweden was totally crazy. I don't know how many Swedes or Scandinavians there are in this forum, but her perception is hilarious none the less.

She had already been to Sweden and knew many Swedes, so she used her "experience" to prepare her other female friends for when they were going to Sweden. What she said to them was: "Any J-Girl will be like a MODEL when they come to Sweden".. She even looked at me for support.. I was stunned by her ignorance.. And she truly believed every word she said!

It is not very hard to understand WHY she had these thoughts. The Swedish boys she had met was of course mostly otaku guys, who adore J-Girls(or anythings that breathes). She couldn't really separate a dasai otaku from a normal guy. Moreover, she had this belief that Swedish boys also were prince-like, and only slept with girls they were in love with(:rofl:)...

Essentially though, J-girls are starved of love and attention. Look around Tokyo and you'll see a race of sterile, miserable, lonely people who avoid human contact, and have trouble telling people that they like them. If it does come out, it comes out in the most stunted of ways.

J-girls are fairly narcissistic as well... hence can't really tell the difference between a guy who actually loves them, and a guy who is just saying a bunch of nice words. Doesn't matter what the guy looks like as long as the words are said. It's not as if anyone else in Japan is going to tell them that they matter as human beings, so they cling to whoever lets them know that they do.

Some of them are smart enough to know that some of us gaijin are a bunch of liars... but they all desperately want to believe us deep down on a subconcious level, and that usually overrides their resistance to us.

J-girls will also use you for affection and fun when you meet them the first time before ditching you when you actually call them or try to see them again. It's frustrating, but lots of women here tend to use guys for entertainment on a night out before discarding them.

It IS possible to be friends with women.... and you should promise them that you will always be a friend to them. However, you must understand that the friendship will only last as long as she wants it to. When her emotions change (and it can happen in hours, days, months, and in rare occasions even years)... and it will happen.... you will be tossed aside much like a Thai hooker yourself.

You CAN have intelligent conversations with the girls here, but I strongly suggest you don't, especially if you're just looking for a one-night stand. It just confuses them.
