To me he appears to be one of those people who have absolutely no social charm or common sense, and certainly no empathy for his fellow man, but whose brains have somehow become highly evolved for the sole purpose of taking advantage of people and situations for personal gain. Sort of fits my personal definition of "not particularly trustworthy."

Big bad world out there and Japanese language ability, access to google and the corner bookstore political magazine section are your best friends!

You'll see what I said in the near future.
Yokohammer wrote:Sorry, can't agree with this.
If someone is going to post seemingly far-fetched ideas like the Ozawa-CIA link as fact, then the onus is on the poster to provide references. If the poster has reliable information then he or she should tell us where it's from.
That's just common sense. Standard protocol taught in high school (even in Japan).

References please, in English or Japanese. It doesn't matter.
No references, no credibility.

B. Take a look around - this here be the internets. Full of misinformation as it is supposed information.
C. This is a public forum, meaning any and all are around. Even weird, freaky and unreliable people.
D. This ain't debate club.
E. Thar also be more information out in those thar hills that can be found on this here interwebs, matey!
F. Not a single clever google link, wikipedia reference or hyperlink in any of the above - tell me I ain't right (but you don't have to, cos, like, see Point D.).
The above is nothing but smarmy cleverness. My real point is thus...
Like I said before, if people around here had more Japanese ability, friends etc who are Japanese they would be be more open/susceptible to rather different world views which do not primarily draw from English language largely Anglo-American sources. Whether they are "true" or not is beside the point. The point being that there are different ways of viewing all of this mess and Take frequently brings an assemblage of bits and bobs to the table which reek as much of conspiracy, navel-gazing and propaganda as they do insight, fresh ideas and just plain oddness.
Sometimes I think people on this board need to do a bit of re-reading of Take...
And yet... anyone, like myself who dares to say so gets anonymously red-snotted, told to eat dick or whatever.
All I'm saying is that, if GG doesn't believe Take that's fine, but why expect some anonymous shit-stirrer on the internet to spoon feed "primary sources"?

Survey shows Kan, Ozawa in close fight
The Yomiuri Shimbun
Prime Minister Naoto Kan and former Democratic Party of Japan Secretary General Ichiro Ozawa are neck and neck in the race for party president, according to a Yomiuri Shimbun survey conducted Friday on DPJ lawmakers and others eligible to vote in the leadership election.
Kan, who is the current party leader, and Ozawa are believed to have the support of about 160 party legislators each for the Sept. 14 election, according to the poll taken two days after official campaigning began. About 90 DPJ lawmakers have yet to disclose which candidate they will favor in the two-person race. Whom these legislators support in the race is being closely watched, as the party leader is virtually certain to become prime minister.
