Crap... rain boots, anyone?

So I've just arrived in Tokyo for the first time and didn't bring rain boots in order to save on luggage weight / space. One look out this window and I see that's a fail.

I know I could just wander and probably run into a store selling rain boots, but I figured I'd ask -- if you were a person who cared more about not having wet socks than fashion, where would you go for rain boots in Tokyo?? Is there a recommendable store?

(I'm in Chuo-ku but am happy to take the train.)

If you're a normal sized foreigner, good luck finding footwear to fit.
From Chuo-ku, there's probably shoe stores in Akihabara you could go to, but you're feet are probably gonna get wet anyway, so I recommend you tough it out and save your money. It's only water and your shoes and socks will dry soon anyway. It'll be nice weather the day after the typhoon passes.

Don't paintball shop or fishing shop have bigger size rain gears ?

Fishing shops are more expensive, I would go with Donki or construction/home center-type places. They have anything up to a 29 cm usually, sometimes can even find a 30 or 31 for around 2,000 yen no problem. I always wanted a pair of those black rubber ones the fishermen use, along with the big black apron. You know, for those times when things get "messy"...

If you go to the TOC Building in Gotanda there's a store next to the Lawson 100 store on floor B1. They have everything related to fishing, including dirt cheap rubber boots. I myself ordered a pair of original Hunter rubber boots on Ebay, though. Check out seller Country Attire!
