Thought I'd share a funny story with you, because I am a funny guy
My home is filled with Japanese people, with my wife K, my child, my wife's cousin W and friend all live with us. That makes 4 F'd Nihonjins and me, a Gaijin in my own home. My buddy recently moved into the basement too so that kind of evens the odds - but I'm getting off topic
Last year I took my wife to see the Dalai Lama at the Skydome - a great experience I'd highly recommend it if you ever get the chance. Anyways, in the concessions were a bunch of Tibetans selling various and sundried items including these cool hand woven winter hats with tassles. I got one for K and one for myself.
At home that night, K's cousin W commented on my cool new hat and asked me where I got it. I replied "the Dalai Lama gave it to me" And we laughed, ho ho.
Next day, I was suprised to see that W had a hat just like mine! "W," I said "Where did you get that hat??" He replied "I got it from the Dalai Lama" After a moment of lost in translation confusion we finally ascertained that W had gone down the road and bought himself an identical hat as mine at where else - the local Dollarama.
True story kids.
