I Am Ichihashi movie

Hi All,

I lived in Japan 6.5 years around 2004 - 1011 and I remember this being a huge story, at least on foreign message boards, etc. I have to admit I used bigdaikon a lot more and here a lot less which in retrospect is too bad, this seems like a lovely board.

Not sure how I feel about this movie. I didn't recall the name at first but as soon as I read "Lindsay Ann Hawker" I did remember. An English teacher who was killed by some maniac who went on the run, got plastic surgery, etc, etc. I have mixed feelings about watching it. It feels a bit exploitative and movies about people who would be unremarkable other than for the fact they killed someone, well I don't like supporting that in any way, even if I am just downloading the torrent.

But, I lived there at that time, remember the story, and perhaps the lamest excuse of all, I want to watch more Japanese movies but so many of them are total crap. At least I think I'll be able to pay attention to this one.

Curious if anyone else remembers this, has seen the movie, has any opinions, etc. Seems like there are some old timers here. I don't want to post the link in case it's against the rules or whatever. If you want it pm me.

Dont know about that one, but I can recommend a Japanese movie called `after the rain` which currently is available on youtube for free. I have watched it three times already!

Movie was not that hot. Some things were interesting, like how the ability to wear a face mask constantly and immediately appear to be a total weirdo might make it easier to go into hiding in japan. And it just kind of sucks that it's all about the guy who killed the girl, because obviously the victim can't speak for herself. I dunno, sad story, not a great movie.
