It warms the cockles of my heart to think that the Rapture all the Bejeebus Lubbers pine for is actually just their appalling subliteracy in action. What was it Jeff Goldblum said about the Coming of the Raptors?

Aktshually, it's more a case of cynical denunciation of the farce the japs legal system is. Which unfortunately fit exquisitely well with the rest of the place and its peoples...

But the trains and the mail run on time. So for now I'll pretend I don't give too much of a fuck.

The advertisers and companies have no idea how to market Easter here. I've seen that stupid Aeon commercial too many times, but they just keep repeating Easter party, and I think Kyary Pamyu Pamyu is eating omelet rice? For easter? Why don't they try selling easter bunnies or something like that. At least it would appeal to kids. I wonder how long it will take them to either get it right, or drop it completely?

Statement from Prime Minister May:
As we approach that time of the year where faithful Christians participate in the symbolic hunt for the egg from which an executed Jewish guy is said to have been reincarnated, and the rabbit which incubated that egg, it is important that Global Britons have an opportunity to reflect on the true nature of their indigenous culture and are not distracted by events overseas. Now if you'll excuse me I have to sell some more electric cattle prods to the towel heads.

No wonder Easter is having a hard time catching on here. I was just looking at Amazon for Easter bunnies for my friends children, and the stupid bastards are charging Y17000 for a one pound chocolate bunny! WTF. I think I will go with two small Lindt Gold Bunnies for them, they are much more reasonably priced.

No reason for a region that has no roots in christianity to celebrate easter imho. We could just as well celebrate ramadan or diwali or any other random festival that's a thing somewhere else on the planet.

The choco-bunnies, though, why not :)

I'd like to try some of his cheeses, but I doubt whether he can match the taste of a genuine French or Dutch cheese. Is he Japanese, or is he originally from a cheese-producing country?

Worse, judging from the comments about cheddar cheese I think he's a Brit.

He is indeed English. I think he does a really good job of it. Looking forward to the Crete-recipe Halloumi he recently introduced in his shop.

Anyone who has been to a bar in Okinawa knows Shima Rakkyo. For us Brits, it reminds us of Spring Onions - great with Salad Cream, for those who know what that is and "Eggo" is a good substitute.
