Thugs attacked and injured a Japanese man and his adopted Thai son after the man refused to pay a ``foreigners'' cover charge for the popular Tiffany cabaret show in Pattaya on Monday....Mr Miyashita, who runs a restaurant in Japan ...[said] ...the ticketing staff wanted the two Japanese men to pay a ``cover charge'' of 250 baht each on top of the 350-baht ticket price because they were foreigners. I have a problem with price discrimination in any form.. Most clubs in Tokyo charge a different price for men and women - lower for women. I think it should be the same!!! Price elasticity effects don't apply in cover charges...
