There are HUGE arguments about the premise that geisha auction off their virginity. This was most certainly true in the past---it's in Japanese literature, plays, film, etc. Now Japanese are trying to selectively "forget" that fact.

There is NO WAY to prove or disprove the "geisha auction" now, so mind as well not just blindly believe what the Japanese want you to believe anymore than my saying it does happen.

well the only way to get a clear view of what really goes on is to ask a candid geisha or ex with experience
