Agreed. I can't do it though. Tore up my ankles too many times in the army. Best I can do is half-and-half (one foot flat, the other not).

No problems with all three examples, I can do them and more. I can actually sit on my ass with with my legs folded on my sides. Not that it's anything to brag about. I am just trying to raise the number of posts I've made by posting useless stuff like this.

To me, the squat seems to offer no benefits over standing, all your weight is still on your feet. What's the point?

you are lower to the ground and more aerodynamic.. add a spoiler to that combination and you are talking about a bare minimum of +50hp... 10 more if you add a NOS sticker

not to mention the fact that in such a position the exhaust pipe will be much louder, creating the illusion of power.

I squat, I find it very comfortable. Of course I spent a lot of my youth in Asian countries so I picked it up as a natural mannerism. If I get to fat I can't squat but when I'm thin it's like having a built in chair.

...except when you sit in a chair, you are taking the weight off your feet. That's why, when my feet are tired, I sit on my ass.

no squat man! you squat down, then you feel your change moving inexorably towards the toto porcelain, so you hitch your jeans up a bit, then the keitai starts wiggling or worse, ringing, you breath out and a turd tastes fresh air, and you never know if its gonna hit denim or toto paydirt..

always unchi b4 leaving uchi!

LMAO! I lived with a squatter toilet in my apartment for a year and never got used to it. I think the physical benefits of squatting versus sitting are a myth. The leg pain and the stench of being that close to your own feces is just not worth it either.

Hehehe, I can't do it. If I squat with my heels flat, I start to fall over backwards, and it takes alot more energy to maintain balance then it does to do a western squat.

So I think I'll stick to sitting, the western squat, or a rifleman's crouch unless I suddenly develop quite a bit more flexibility, or figure out how to do it better... Maybe I need a wider stance.

I'm still confused just how people can do sit with their legs to the side though. Flexibility or body structure? Heh...
