Tapei to Fukuoka or Tokyo

I am going to be in Taiwan come this January (yay chinese new years).. a small group is talking about going up to Japan for a few days to visit friends. Any idea on plane ticket prices? I would love to take a few days away from chinese immersion and just hang out with some people (would piss the parents off to no end as well, going to japan and just hanging out ^^;; )
