I found these at E-mart today. They had a huge display, with several varieties - Roll (like I bought), marshmallow puff things and fake oreos. Initially, I thought it was just weird packaging, so I picked one up. When I got home I plugged the Korean into Sherlock (Mac program that does searches & translations) and here's what came out.

Seriously though, this one is all about ignorance. Ever hear of the Bubble Sisters? K-pop/hiphop group of four Korean chicks in blackface with big prosthetic lips. They came on the scene earlier this year and got pounded for their actions - but not by the Korean media. Even their own management claims not to understand what the fuss was about. When I was young there was an Ice cream called golliwog, then it disappeared and cam back again as Iceburger. Even the pictures changed there was originaly golliwogs. Then it changed to eskimos. and it was only 10 years ago. Bu tthere is very little racism in ireland there were little to no slaves. Even there were probably less than 50 blackpeople in the country.

As for the picture it imediatly reminded me of a golliwog.
