Good guess on the number. The board crashed at ONLY 339 visiters and 5,300 views. Sheesh, that's nothing. My lowly toilet-seat iBook /333 MHz and FTTH line could handle more than 800 users.

That whole incident was insane, but initially it was fun when the numbers kept climbing up-when would it stop? I blacked out when I saw it get to 330 and that's the last thing I remember.......

I mean, this is just stupid:
Janet Jackson exposing her breast during the Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday night has proved to be the most-searched event in the history of the Internet.
1.) It's only a breast.
2.) It's Janet Jackson, and the breast wasn't even that fantastic looking.
3.) If people want to see breasts, it's not like there is a shortage of places to find them, in real life or on the net. It's nothing special.

And why the furore, which was even more of a surprise?
I recall what Kamone said earlier and I agree-the US must have hang-ups about sex and bodies etc, at least a great deal of the US. Besides the whole nudity on Japanese TV, when I was in France I probably saw bare breasts every single commercial break, at any given time of the day. I was 13 then and thought that was pretty cool.

Yeah, there's kind of a collective hangup about nudity/sex in the US, which is really stupid. The more you try keep something hidden away, the stronger the impact of the moment when it does get seen, especially in a situation where it's so unexpected - like the Superbowl.

It's all part of the "violence okay/sex&nudity evil" mindset of most of America. A good portion of the hangup probably comes from the collective equating of nudity and sex. In Europe (and Japan and elsewhere) they're not seen as the same thing, which is a much healthier outlook.

Oh, and the ultimate double-standard? If she'd had a baby sucking on that bare breast it would've been heralded as a "beautiful, heartwarming moment."

(Though how a kid would be able to nurse with that shuriken in it's mouth is beyond me.)

For a woman who continues to wear a nipple ring, it would be wise to remove prior to nursing her baby. If the nipple ring is not removed prior to breastfeeding, choking could occur.
