Kerry Gleeson....20 years as a management adviser and 10 years as a best-selling author of The Personal Efficiency Program, How to Get Organized to Do More Work in Less Time, recently released in its third edition.... He now has consulting offices in 25 countries, and finds there are surprising and sometimes incongruous differences in the way organizations work in different countries.
"I always had the impression that efficiency and effectiveness is synonymous with Japan. I would go into offices and look into the desks and would see the white-collar environment is a complete mess. I opened up the desk drawers and their file system consisted of a pile with the most recent on top." Not one of the 20 people in one office had a calendar.
