Ditto. I'm appalled at the viciousness or even blatant anti-Semitism of the comments above. WTF is everyone's problem? The guy was not criticizing Japan. He was discussing how it was difficult to practice his own faith in Japan, a problem that people of other faiths probably also experience.

Furthermore, the "called it a spring festival and left it at that" comment was a mere byproduct of language difficulties. How do you explain a complex religious custom if you don't have the tools in Japanese to do so?
