One country that could use a decent helping of karoshi is China. Let's just say that the traditional Western work ethic is far from established here. With the decline in state-run (more aptly 'state-subsidized' or 'state-coddled') firms, the shift to a market economy could use a swift increase in labor productivity and worker conscieousness.
Maybe then I won't have to wait as long in line as clerks drink tea, shoot the sh!t, and otherwise waste my time...
