ROFLMAO! Us D(h)eers are not to be laughed at! We nibble and gnaw and trample and stomp and never show mercy!

Deer ate about 150 Dollar worth of flowers my friend planted! One day beautiful flowers - next day: bare stems.

The Old Messengers Of The Gods wrote:I got down to the river a little after them and put it together rather quickly. Someone had killed the deer (there were four carcasses tied down in the river), disemboweled them, spread the organs out amid the rocks along the stream and weighted the carcasses down in the water. But why?
...Although, when I asked the man about eating the deer, he recoiled in horror. Poison not withstanding, based on that man's reaction, as well as those of my friends, I'll assume that whale is good eatin', whereas, deer is right out. ...
the Japan Times is holding another photo contest. I entered last year's but didn't get any traction with my photos. So instead of the beautiful countryside shots that I turned in then, maybe I'll put in something more edgy this time. Such as the shot below--I'll title it, water with dead shit in it. ....

Wiki wrote:Venison is most often associated with the meat of deer, but it also includes the meat of moose, elk, caribou, and antelope. As with the meat of other large animals, it is eaten as steaks, roasts, sausages and ground meat. [i]Organ meats are sometimes eaten but would not be called venison]. Venison is lower in food energy, cholesterol and fat than common cuts of beef, pork or lamb.

Yomiuri: Tokyo eyes Tama deer cull to protect soil, farming
Deer hunting regulations will be relaxed and the number of deer in the Tama area culled at the recommendation of the Tokyo metropolitan government's council for environmental preservation in order to prevent damage to the soil and farming in the area. The council said deer should be culled by half from the current 2,000 in Okutamamachi, Hinoharamura, Hinodemachi, Akiruno, Ome and part of Hachioji, all located in western Tokyo. A plan recommended by the council will be implemented later this month and completed by the end of fiscal 2006. According to the recommendation, an area north of the Tamagawa river in Okutamamachi, Tokyo, will be named a coexistence zone for people and deer. The number of deer in the zone will be reduced to between one and three per square kilometer. The other areas will be designated restricted zones and the number of deer will be reduced to one or zero per square kilometer. Hunting regulations will be relaxed to increase the number of deer that can be killed per day per hunter from one male deer to two male deer or one female and one male deer...more...
