INQ7: Customs man nabbed in Japan
A BUREAU of Customs (BOC) examiner was nabbed in Japan last week after three hand guns and 200 rounds of live ammunition were allegedly found in his possession...BOC Commissioner Alexander Arevalo...identified the arrested examiner as Gary Evano, who has been a Customs examiner since 1990. He is now detained at the Narita Police Station at the Chiba Prefecture in Japan. Airport authorities in Manila are still puzzled how Evano was able to smuggle the weapons and ammunition into the aircraft despite the strict security measures adopted at the airport...more...
