Kyodo via Japan Today: Japanese Rubik's cube contestant breaks own world record
A 19-year-old Japanese broke his own world record Sunday for the best time solving the 4x4 Rubik's cube in a contest held at the Walt Disney World resort in Orlando, Florida. Yuki Hayashi, a part-time worker from Tokyo, clocked in at an average winning time of 54.13 seconds and was able to shave more than 6 seconds off his previous time. [Jean Pons of France took the top prize in the 3 x 3 event with an average time of 15.1 seconds.]
