Mainichi: Official mistakenly shows porn video to drivers during road rule lecture
A prefectural government traffic safety official mistakenly showed a pornographic video during a lecture on road rules at a driver's license center, police officials revealed. Drivers have to visit the center to renew their licenses and are required to watch videos on traffic rules. On Jan. 15, an official at the Chikugo driver's license examination center in Chikugo, Fukuoka Prefecture, began airing a video during lectures. Pornographic images were mistakenly aired before normal education programs began several seconds later. "It's unbelievable. We feel so ashamed," said an officer of the Fukuoka Prefectural Police driver's license division that supervises the examination center. About 1,600 drivers were listening to lectures in nine rooms at the center at the time. Due to a shortage of original videos, officials dubbed some of them.
