JR's anniversarry bash

Postby amdg » Mon Apr 24, 2006 12:51 pm

On the 1 year anniversary of the JR takarazuka train crash, The JR Yamanote-sen in Tokyo celebrates with a derailment of its own... more news as it comes...

Happy anniversorry!
Mr Kobayashi: First, I experienced a sort of overpowering feeling whenever I was in the room with foreigners, not to mention a powerful body odor coming from them. I don't know whether it was a sweat from the heat or a cold sweat, but I remember I was sweating whenever they were around.

Tokyo trains halted, more than 1,000 walk on tracks to station

TOKYO, April 24 KYODO
Train services on Tokyo's Yamanote loop lines were halted Monday morning, with more than 1,000 passengers having to walk from a stranded train to a nearby station, East Japan Railway Co. (JR East) said.
The driver of a train in service on the line reported an abnormality on tracks near Takadanobaba Station at around 10:30 a.m. JR East suspended operations for checks on all train services on the double-track Yamanote, as well as the Osaki-Omiya portion of the Saikyo and Shonan Shinjuku lines that run parallel to it.

I've yet to notice an obvious FG in all these pictures of passengers walking along the Yamanote Line tracks. The Mainichi has a gallery here but I haven't scoured the images too closely.
