The McDonalds in Yoyogi was the second Japan location opened by the American hamburger giant, four days after the inaugural opening in Ginza Mitsukoshi on 20th July 1971. Since that store is no longer in operation, Yoyogi, as the oldest existing McDonalds, will open a mini museum from 10-15th July to mark the occasion of the company's 35th anniversary in Japan. The next oldest store, Oi in Shinagawa-ku, is also said to be planning events.
