
More needles wash up on Japan's beaches

.... a large number of syringes bearing English and Chinese markings have been washing up in Yamaguchi as well as Saga and Fukuoka prefectures since earlier this month. A fisherman walking on a beach in Shimonoseki found a large number of the syringes floating in the sea, the newspaper said. He recovered what he could and reported the find to the Shimonoseki Coast Guard Office. Each of the syringes measures between 2 and 3 centimeters long (a centimeter is about 4/10 of an inch).

....A fisherman walking on a beach in Shimonoseki found a massive number of syringes floating in the sea and recovered them, according to the JCG's Shimonoseki Coast Guard Office. Each one measures between 2.5 and 3 centimeters long.
