And I say bullshit to you (but only with love, of course). I don't think people literally mean 100% when that say "all". It think it means most or almost all. And I would agree with that. Almost all women (most men too) do want kids at some point in their lives.

good for you. i think its a strong woman who makes such a choice. What pisses me off is people who think women must have children and they are disrepectful and somehow belittle those that choose not to.

Every woman is different - a relation of mine got pregnant after 7 years of marriage. she didnt want the baby but now she loves it. On the otherhand a family friend was pressured by her husband to have kids and she resents the impact they have on her life.

I dont think Japanese women are any different than most other women in modern societies - deciding between/how to balance work, travel, money, lifestyle, love, and kids.
