With efforts to create work environments friendly to child-bearing gathering steam in both public and private sectors, Softbank Corp said Tuesday it will drastically expand its support program for child-raising employees and offer a monetary gift of 5 million yen for a family having a fifth child...The Internet conglomerate said its expanded support program will take effect on Sunday and will apply to full-time workers employed for more than one year...Under the current program, monetary gifts of 3,000 to 15,000 yen are offered for each child born. The new program will raise the cash contribution to 50,000 yen for a first child, 100,000 yen for a second, 1 million yen for a third, 3 million yen for a fourth and 5 million yen for a fifth or more...more...
