Convert Your Japanese Toilet

Gizmodo Japan
reports that Inax is selling an attachment to fit over a Japanese toilet which will turn it into a western-style affair. The basic set costs 36,400 yen but if you want a washlet like the one in the picture too then you'll need to spend an additional 139,000 yen. PDF details here.

They've had this for sometime. Kiki's Pub has had one for at least ten years. I say at least ten as that is the only sober memory I have. Before that it is a fog.

Here is my solution.

1) Buy sledgehammer.
2) Use it to remove Japanese toilet including 'throne' step and low ceiling door frame.
3) Install western style clodger
4) Plaster and tile up the mess.
5) Take rubble to the mountainside and return it to nature.

Better yet, since most places that have Japanese toilets also also possess stairs that are made for size one shoes, ceiling made for midgets and other uniquely Japanese qualities. Rent out sledgehammers by the hour to frustrated Otakus and the like, and save on the demolition cost of the house in question.

And Kiki's manager has again asked that G-man not use the manager's office and chair as a toilet, in those "foggy" moments.

Damn! I'm glad you brought that up Kuro. I didn't know that! I always thought they had a two holer! No wonder no one ever wants to use their office!
