It's like Japan is living back in the stone ages. I can already see the electric companies taking advantage of this and spiking the monthly bill go up.

I noticed while driving by tonight that half of Tokyo Tower was pitch black. I assume it's related and they're trying to show they are conserving energy.

I also assume none of the stores which run their air conditioner all day long, with the front doors wide open, will change their practices.
