You gaijins must think this obasan tried to appeal that that only men is allowed to enter dohyo is discrimination to females.
But unfortunately she is just crazy.

What are you trying to say Take? That all gaijins believe this? It's like the view the papers announce about an heir. Japan cannot have a female heir, an Empress could not ascend. Never happend before right?

What did you really study in college, wanking 101, or maybe basic paranoia? It certainly wasn't history or International affairs.

Come to think of it, I recon the only reason women aint allowed on the dohyo is because, judging the way some of those obachan can push and shove for a train seat, they would stand a fucking good chance of knocking off a yokozuna.

I hardly want to weigh in on this troll however....

During the mid Edo Period, a time in which Sumo historians are understandably quiet about, sumo tournements were often sponsored by brothels and featured matches between nude women and blind men.

Despite Sumo seems to be the most masculine sport, as early as in the 1700's women Sumo ("onna-zumo") did exist. It started in Osaka and was performed in connection with prostitution houses. Matches were organized between women and also between women and blind men. Some of female sumoists were actually skilled wrestlers. By 1744, onna-zumo's popularity had reached Edo (Tokyo). Tournaments were held at Asakusa Temple until authorities closed them down on the basis that it was immoral.

No kidding! And they've got "the stance" too. Just try getting around one on an escalator. They anticipate your every feint and jab with micro-re-directions of their "KI," so the only way you can get past is to use blunt force and create an international incident. I had one nutter obatarian shout "Japanese DAKE" at me as I tried to squeeze past her.

Well, when I was in Tokyo a few weeks back I passed a brothel and touts were asking if I wanted to come in and participate in a 'Boothe Special' whatever that means.
