Seibu Smile Train

Postby Mulboyne » Fri Feb 15, 2008 1:44 am

Seibu Railway have unveiled the new rolling stock for their Shinjuku Line operations. They have nicknamed the series "Smile Train" because the front resembles a smiling face and the interior also liberally uses curves and heart marks. Seibu seriously hopes that this softer image will go some way to offsetting the bad press they received following the false accounting scandal which engulfed the group.

That won't last long. The first Drunk Special (AKA: Shuuden) should fix the smile right up when the fellas start barfing on it. Probably make for an interesting design.

I just love the whole "make people forget about corruption by making our trains cuter" mindset :D

hmmm, true. Couldnt have imagined Enron sticking a couple of powderpuff girl eyes and a smile on its big E logo, that might have saved them, too late to tell now.....

I know for a fact like in Latin America (where corruption is rampant), bank robbers, white collar criminals, even sexual abusers escape or are kind of pardonned once they go and shout to the world (the media usually) that THEY ARE BORN AGAIN ChRISTIANS!!....

So maybe the kawaii doesnt work in other countries...but for some reason ...people find a way to cover up their past deeds..

Mr Kobayashi: First, I experienced a sort of overpowering feeling whenever I was in the room with foreigners, not to mention a powerful body odor coming from them. I don't know whether it was a sweat from the heat or a cold sweat, but I remember I was sweating whenever they were around.

I only see this increasing jumpers and chikaners:

Salaryman 1 says, take me away from this. To a happy place.. Oh look, a happy train..

Salaryman 2 says, fuck I need to wack off. Oh look. A skirted middle-school girl sitting in a seat of hearts..

:p
