[/floatr]Three women in their twenties from Nishi Yodogawa ward in Osaka have been arrested on suspicion of burglary. The three friends met through school and work and were close friends for many years. They all married and had children but subsequently divorced. Lacking money, they devised a plan to rob houses during the daytime while their children were in kindergarten and school. One would act as look-out, another would carry out the burglary and the third would be the getaway driver. Journalists are calling the gang Cat's Eye after the popular manga which featured three sisters who carried out audacious art robberies while maintaining a front running a cafe together. One of the women was caught while robbing a house in Takaishi at one in the afternoon last October and she gave up her two accomplices. Police believe the gang committed at least two other similar crimes last year.
