The Asahi is reporting the arrest of the president of AV company Hot Entertainment and seven crew members for filming sex scenes in the back of an 11-ton dump truck in Shibuya last July. The action, which was caught on three surveillance cameras in Shibuya 2-chome, was between a 30-year-old actress and 53-year-old actor, which tempts me to include this in this this thread.

Yeah, I was thinking of putting that up there as the logical conclusion. Anyway, here is one thing: how would the cops know who was in the film crew? Did they check the credits on the back of the DVD? My guess is that the surveillance camera footage was pretty lousy for identification purposes.

Since the actress is also being busted for cocaine possession, she might have had an incentive to help police with their inquiries.

It could be that another AV company saw it and reported it to the cops.
That would serve two purposes, first putting the competition in a shitty situation with the cops.
Second, that kind of stunt attracts attention to the industry as a whole and often influence lawmakers to tighten censorship laws which is bad for everybody in the business.

Knowing a bit about the J-police maneuverings, I would suggest that the porn bust may be just be a police front to sweat out more information on the sneeze connections.

Obviously, they have grounds for the arrest on the public indecency charges, but how often do you see it carried to that degree in Nippon? I mean you could plow the back 40 in Shibuya Koen with your girl friend and the cops would direct traffic around you, now suddenly they want to arrest everyone that has come within 15 feet of an AV video store? They're off after something else here!

what'd they need the surveillance camera footage for? it's not like there was a shortage of cameras and footage without it..

more importantly though, i think we should be inclined to view the evidence before passing any judgement. get your copy of it here
