I was on base at Yokusuka visiting a friend in the hospital there at that time and there was no action on the base. Security was no more stringent than usual and I had heard via keitai from another friend who knew I was there that this "attack" was being portrayed pretty big in the media. But, never saw a thing that would indicate it was close to the base.

JNs were signing on base as visitors in numbers. No one seemed worried. Maybe lack of other reportable news of interest?
