Airline Check-in System Trouble

Image
(Apologies, this airline image has appeared on FG even more than your favorite molesting mutt)

Thousands of air passengers in Japan saw their flights cancelled or delayed on Sunday after computer system trouble at All Nippon Airways (ANA) led to problems with the airline's check-in system nationwide.

Most of the problems occurred at Tokyo's Haneda airport, which is the main domestic airport serving the Japanese capital. A total of 53 flights were cancelled and 259 flights were delayed by more than 1 hour, Rob Henderson, a spokesman for ANA, said Sunday evening. The problems affected more than 51,180 passengers.

Airline executives apologized BLA BLA

At least they appologise.. Unlike Tiger or Jetstar, who insist you suck it up and buy a ticket for the next day.

Add Ryanair in the UK to that list. They make you miss a flight and then force you to buy a new ticket.

Dont even get me started about Jetstar. I wil NEVER be flying with those cunts again. I dont give a fuck if I have to go via Uzbekistan to get back to Oz next time, I aint never setting foot on one of those gay-ass orange & silver cunty arse planes again. Jetstar would have to be (consistantly) THE WORST airline I have ever had the misfortune of flying.

An unfortunate incident which can happen to any airline, but re the comments:

Spread the love on low-service carriers, maybe more people will start flying with proper airlines again. I won't be found dead on an RYR flight.

From what I hear, if you do fly them, then there is a reasonable chance that you will be found dead (in the burnt out wreckage)!;)

I saw Qantas had another aborted take-off yesterday. Man, has the 'Flying Kangaroo' had its fair share of PR disasters lately or what!?!?

The thing that gets me, is that Qantas has completely deviated from their original agenda.
Shit, their name IS their agenda.

Queensland And Northern Territory Air Services.
The NT is barely serviced by them and when it is, you end up paying in excess of $1000 on the cheapest airfair within Australia.
Tiger have pulled out of Australia completely, as our stupid local government (NT Gov) has decided to make the Darwin airport the Jetstar hub to 'the world' which means Singapore only, and maybe Bali now and then. In the mean time, they've (Qantass/jetshit) bullied all the other airlines into submission, and everybody is screwed. I would fly an alternative if I had a viable alternative.
Hell, Darwin is the only jetstar leg that doesn't have 'starclass'.

I might add, my travels to Japan this Christmas is with Singapore airlines, and is bus class on the A380 Tokyo and back to Singapore... But Jetstar is the only option. If I'd flown with Qantas on their alternative leg (via Cairns) in Eco mode, I'd have paid more!

Yeah, I understand your problem. You spend all that money and you still just end up somewhere in Australia.

Exactly... Even with the price of fuel the way it is, I'm now paying double what I used to pay. Fuel is maybe... 20-40% of the flight cost on the cheaper fairs depending on distance etc, the rest goes into labour and handling. There's no way, a flight to Cairns from Darwin should cost over $400Au... No way. Return shouldn't be over 800 on the same principle. Business class, sure maybe a little higher, but if I have to pay 1800 for a return economy trip to Cairns in order to catch another Q flight to Tokyo which costs me double that again... I say stuff that.

And yeah... I still end up in Australia.

Sorry to make you look like an ignorant ass Jack, cos I know you prefer doing it yourself, but Ryanair is an Irish airline.
