Asahi: Roppongi robbery suspects nabbed
Two teenage brothers have been arrested on suspicion of robbing a man of about 130,000 yen in cash in Tokyo's Roppongi district in June, police said Monday. The brothers, 17 and 18, are fourth-generation Japanese-Brazilians living in Kawaguchi, Saitama Prefecture. They arrived in Japan in 2003, but do not attend school, police said. One of the teens was quoted as saying that they hadn't made friends because they couldn't speak Japanese, so they needed money to hang out in Roppongi, where it is easier to make friends. The suspects' names were withheld because they are minors.
