JAL co pilot drunk!!!

Postby TFG » Thu Oct 23, 2008 12:29 pm

It was just announced that a JAL co pilot tried to board the plane but was stopped after smelling of alcohol & tested which came up positive as being over the limit.
JAL lied and announced to the passengers that the co pilot was not feeling well, held the plane up for two hours, retested the co pilot then let him board the plane!

JAL has a limit for alcohol not a 0 limit!!!!:jawdrop:

No links yet.

Nah, Greji just left off the 'L' at the end of ANA ;)
Though I'm sure he'd do her either way. (Hell who wouldn't)

Are people moving to the left (or right?) of YBF now?

Wouldn't it be south? ;)

Drinking and Flying ... Driving and Fighting... none of you pussies have been in the real air, with real men, who are real drunk. Let me tell you that any pilot knows that the best cure for hang over is an ass-puckering, 40knot side wind landing at gross weight and max density altitude where you need to puke and pee just to get it over the edge. Personally I hope they PRESCRIBE alcohol to the Japanese pilots just to get them to open up their vision a bit. None of them fly coordinated turns - all the shit time their wings are leading or lagging - dont they f*ing know what a rudder is for chrissakes? bobbing on approaches like goddamn tobbagans -- get some alcohol in them and maybe they can relax and feeeel the stick a little more.
See you in PyonPyang!

He probably got the "asian-glow" you know that common enough genetic defect when some Asian dude has one beer and then all of a sudden some acetelhidine toxin builds up in his blood and he acts like he's completely passed out on the floor

More on the ANA situation reported earlier...

ANA admits 4 more flight delays due to alcohol level of pilots

All Nippon Airways said Friday four more flight delays have been reported in the past two months due to detection of alcohol on the breath of its cockpit crew members, on top of one incident that led to a delay in a domestic flight Wednesday. All four cases emerged after ANA renewed its alcohol-detecting system on Aug. 18, the airline said...

Yesterday, I was looking at a Pilot training/degree in Oz.
It's only €55k vs €120k to become a pilot in Ireland.

...but I'd rather be drinking Guinness to VB or Carlton Cold when plummeting out of the sky :)

You people have no idea how much fun it is drinking while flying. Big planes have cupholders too, you know.
