Asahi: Volleyball player forced to run naked
A 20-year-old university volleyball player was tortured, robbed and forced to run naked down an expressway by two former members of the school's volleyball club, Aichi prefectural police said over the weekend. The pair -- Motohisa Yahata, 23, and Shunya Takatori, 21 -- both former members of the volleyball club at Aichi Gakuin University in Nisshin, Aichi Prefecture, were arrested on suspicion of extortion Saturday. The suspects stole 1.5 million yen from the victim between May 2007 and September this year, police said. Police also said Yahata and Takatori tortured the victim, burning his face and feet with a fork heated with a cigarette lighter. University officials said the harassment began after the victim complained to the volleyball club's manager in April 2007 that the pair had forced him to give them massages.

If only there was some way for these university kids to get more mellow.
