
A library run by Tokyo's Chiyoda ward office is giving book buffs a chance to have their shoes buffed with the introduction of a shoe-polishing service once a month at the library. "A person can feel refreshed after a good shoeshine, and it could give them ideas for work," an official from the Chiyoda Public Library said. Shoe polishing services will start in June. Yuya Hasegawa, manager of Brift H, a specialized shoe-polishing shop in Minami Aoyama, Tokyo, will be the library's shoe shiner in the project, called "Toshokan de Kutsu mo Jibun mo Migaku" (Polishing Yourself and Your Shoes at a Library)...more...
