Damn it, I got this guy in my 2009 Death pool, I need this guy to go in the next 5 1/2 months.
I am not really sure where I am going, I just hope that when I get there, I can sit down because I am sure my feet will be tired.

Some positive news:

Remember those two US journalists detained by NK?
Bill Clinton stepped on a plane and got them home.

I wonder what favor N Korea got in return... nuclear weapons secret? ballistic missile technology?

I'm guessing all they got was a photo op. But that's exactly what they've wanted for so long: legitimizing direct contact with the US ... a chance to say "even the US, supposedly the greatest power on earth, bows before the exulted presence of our great leader!" They're going to milk this for all it's worth.

Interesting that it's an ex-president, and the US government is claiming that it was an entirely unofficial, private gesture on the part of Bill Clinton. (Which makes me wonder who paid for the very large private jet ... and of course the personal message from Obama makes it look a tad official).

Anyway, he got those girls out of that shithole, so more power to him.

You know on the plane ride back, all he was thinking to himself was "golly... that would guaranty the Nobel Peace Prize and some blow jobs."

Well, I guess that works as propoganda within the country, but it's not like the North Korean government is struggling to win over the hearts and minds of it's citizens. Beyond that, who's going to see that visit as anything other than it its?

DPRK has an ongoing "program" to win over and control the hearts and minds of it's citizens. That's sort of a defining characteristic.

There is, however, a huge perception gap between those inside and those outside, as you suggest. I kinda suspect that Kim's people are very interested in keeping things cool on the inside at the moment, especially with the upcoming change in leadership.

Large numbers of right wing nutcases in the US I suspect.

I bet Clinton introduced the concept of blow jobs, sex while in office, and sexual promiscuity to the sexually reppressed North Korea.

Of course, all they had to do was send Greji over there for some propaganda work known as modernization.

Yeah, but I'm sure Jack would not hesitate to do both in a sober condition.

Even if Bill didn't do them I bet he was thinking about it.

On Bill's list of things to do before he dies:

3P with Asian-American journalists.
His [Brendan Behan's] last words were to several nuns standing over his bed, "God bless you, may your sons all be bishops."
