You shouldn't be. Let's say each car maker bought 2 to test, rip apart, study and scrap. Hyundai may not sell so well here but they surpass the smaller Japanese makers in quality and price/performance.
Never underestimate the power of very stupid people in large groups.

Told you that guy was in fact an NK spy...

On a side note, comedy gold from 1995:

http://www.nytimes.com/1995/02/20/news/20iht-autocon.html

High resale value... we considered ourselves lucky not to have to pay Nissan to take back our krauter when we bought the Note. They even gave us a free key holder as a trade in... It was like christmas in october.

There is somewhere on the intarweb the web site of the foreign car import association for japan with all the depressing numbers for the French makers... here in fact:

http://www.jaia-jp.org/e/stat/annual_data/inopration.html

http://www.jaia-jp.org/e/stat/quick_report/200907sokuhou_e.htm

No Bugatti but 128 Maybach... Renault manage to sell less of their econocars than Porsche sell luxury cars... For god's sake, there's even more people reimporting foreign build Nissan than buying Renaults...

On a fracking scary note... didn't knew there was so many psychopath with BMW...

That makes Hyundai a real exotic car in Japan. I want one right away.

Hyundai's quality has really improved. If they weren't so damn ugly I would consider buying one back in the states.
Spare a drink?

That site does look slightly biased. Makes me wonder how accurate their "facts" are...
I broke a mirror this morning, which means I should be getting 7 years of bad luck - but my lawyer says he can get me 5.
