You shouldn't be. Let's say each car maker bought 2 to test, rip apart, study and scrap. Hyundai may not sell so well here but they surpass the smaller Japanese makers in quality and price/performance.

No Bugatti but 128 Maybach... Renault manage to sell less of their econocars than Porsche sell luxury cars... For god's sake, there's even more people reimporting foreign build Nissan than buying Renaults...

Hyundai's quality has really improved. If they weren't so damn ugly I would consider buying one back in the states.
