Financial and postal affairs minister Shizuka Kamei

I'm guessing this is the "postal" side of Kamei's portfolio speaking, rather than the "financial."
I wonder how many more weeks he can last in this job....

Kamei has always been prone to saying controversial things, however, he was formerly a high level "elite" (Todai grad) National Police Agency member and has generally been left undisturbed for any previous comments. I think the media has always been afraid that he can sic the SS on them at will, so they have let him alone to date. That could change in the future, but I'll have to see it to believe it!

his manner may be controversial...but the sentiment, that a company should treat employees like humans, is not. at least in my humble opinion. the one thing a company can rely on is the hard work of the employees. they shouldn't be treated like...ballast. companies fail because of poor management and greedy leadership. mass firings should be the last resort, not a management tool.

sorry...just wanted to get that off my chest :)

Everytime Kamei opens his mouth, the Nikkei drops another notch. Well there's only another 9,600 points to go before someone realise we need a proper Finance Minister.

Quite ironic considering his name is Shizuka...he's anything but.
I'm with Klimmer, though...get the klutz out of there before there are no companies left here to employ anyone.
BTW, I also agree with eddie's argument, too. Not likely to happen, but it's the thought that counts.
