I can't imagine why Korean girls would wear hanbok (the traditional dresses) to school in Japan, when they don't wear them to school in Korea. Hanbok are for special occasions, and most women don't own one until well into their twenties.

And bullies? Please, they (or students like them) get bullied every day in Korean schools. The stresses placed on students in Korea (mostly to get into good high schools and universities) are just as bad as they are in Japan. Stress + school = bullies.

35.3% of the students in Japan said they had been bullied at school, but only 3.2% of Japanese children in the United States gave the same answer.
(from Mainichi Shimbun, February 28, 2000)

25% vs 35%. Maybe the Koreans have it easy

About half of all students anywhere are going to be bullied. If it's not about their place of origin, it will be about something else. Not only can kids be cruel, but they are much less likely to be corrected than adults.

From "The Treatise of Love" by Anatoly Protopopov

Hierarchical struggle is often confused with the aspiration for "one's own significance". A person worrying about his own significance does not need to humiliate the other people, in contrary the easiest way to raise one own rank in hierarchy is to humiliate the people around. I think each of us observed many times and even experienced oneself such aspiration of the some people to humiliate the others.
