Immigration Official Accepted Bribes For Visas

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of illegally arranging visas for foreigners. Narita immigration official Masashi Ogura, 54, is thought to have received over 5 million yen from Tokyo company employee Shingo Ito, 46, to waive people through on around 20 occasions. Ogura is believed to have done this between July and November of 2007 while working at the Yokohama bureau of the immigration department.
