[/floatr]Mainichi: Woman arrested for attempted murder after banging infant son's head against floor
Police arrested a woman here Sunday for trying to kill her infant son by banging his head against the bathroom floor. The woman, 29, has admitted to attempted murder. The 7-month-old boy suffered a skull fracture in the attack, and is still unconscious. The incident occurred at the woman's parents' home in Shingu, Wakayama Prefecture, where she was convalescing after admitting to feeling suicidal and other attempts to harm her baby. Police believe she could be suffering from post-natal depression.
