Looks like being certified mental(schizoid) is no excuse for them to execute here.....and even then no niceties at all .

In the USA you can appeal and your actually informed and your relatives are informed when your date with the electricity company is due. Here in Nipon you can wait around for ten years or so(probably also to make sure national longlivity stats are not adjusted ) and then on the day your told a few minutes before!

In his case, a little more barbarism would suffice. Nail his sac to a table in a wood shack, tell him, "Time to make a choice", and set the shack on fire. If he does decide to tear himself loose, have a firing squad composed of hurting crackheads waiting outside with the promise of "Best headshot gets their weight in their favorite white product".
