8 bucks? They were probably getting overtime pay for that.

I would guess it probably cost the government 150,000+, but at the very least, petty thieves will think twice before they....ok, who I am kidding, no they won't.

I'm not sure that shooting people in the head with AK47's for smuggling a little smack is the best solution though. It sort of crosses an ethical line.
